It was clear that music is a non-feminine place to be in and embracing this kind of femininity was a really interesting challenge for me. It was for me hard to accept, "Okay I can be robust, feminine, and soft. Make sure you take care of yourself and never diminish my worth." It was lots of fun to wear heels, wearing a dress, with soft fabric and curls all day long. I'm much younger than everyone else in Fantastic Beasts] and there was a lot of pressure to be a part of it. In the process of auditioning, I had this strange feeling there was a huge power in front of me. The choice was whether I'd fall under this weight and fall due to my desire for it. Or I could step up and let it push me into the future. I could spend the whole day exploring museums, walking, parks and coffee shops and simply observing the people. In LA it is possible to feel at a distance, while in London you are able to take the Tube and be within the midst of people and everyone you could imagine is passing through. I enjoy watching people. In the music industry it is not uncommon to be around people. It's like you have to be within intimate relationships with them all the time. It's a wild, surreal nightmarish. I have read every book in the collection. It was a pleasure to be able to read the books on tour. There are always new cities to visit and that can make it difficult to concentrate. To be able to disappear into such a tense, vivid universe in your own bed is amazing.
